Danger Man Filming Locations  [Back to the homepage]

This page identifies some of the locations used during the filming of Danger man. I have added a 'now' shot showing how the locations look today, however sometimes over the years locations have altered - buildings have changed or demolished and so some will never be found. The where-abouts of these locations were obtained from the fantastic A Guide To Avengerland website.

Some of the later episodes filmed at Shepperton Studios use locations within the grounds of the studio, click here to view these.

Drake arrives in Checkslovakia by taxi which breaks down and is pulled up in a layby. As the driver attempts to fix the car, the British Ambassador passes by and gives Drake a lift into Prague. This layby is located on the banks of Llyn Gwynant, on the A498 heading towards Snowdon, Gwynedd.

Another shot of the broken down taxi, in the layby on the banks of Llyn Gwynant, on the A498 heading towards Snowdon, Gwynedd.

After fleeing from the sanatorium, Pearson and Drake drive to the border which is in fact the A4086 between Pen-y-Gwyryd and Capel Curig, Gwynedd, Wales (heading away from Capel Curig). Thanks to Stephen McKay for this photo!

Drake and Pearson stop at a cafe for a drink, but they soon attract the attention of the police and their car is sabotaged. They run into the woods and when more police arrive with tracker dogs they double back and hide under a bridge. This is Beaver Bridge, Betws-y-Coed, Wales (near the Fairy Glen Hotel).

After giving the police the slip by doubling back under the bridge, Drake and Pearson steal a police car and make their escape. This location is just to the left of Beaver Bridge, Betws-y-Coed, Wales (near the Fairy Glen Hotel).

Drake and Pearson drive towards the border post. This is the road from Pen-y-Gwryd which joins the A470 near to Trawsfynnydd Nuclear Power Station Picture borrowed with thanks to the 'Guide to Avengerland Website'.

Drake and Pearson head for the border in the stolen police car, but turn back as it is heavily guarded. The anti-tank blocks are on the road to the Yr Hafod Youth Hostel at Nant Ffrancon, Gwynedd (off the A5 between Bethesda and Capel Curig).

After turning back from the heavily guarded border, Drake looks for an alternative route. He drives the stolen police car down a hill, which is in fact a track leading from Pont Ty'n y Maes off the A5 near Bethesda, North Wales.

Drake and Pearson arrive at another less guarded border crossing and trick the guards by filling their car with sandbags. They then make their way into Austria across the bridge. This is Tan Aeldroch Farm, Pony-y-Pant, Conwy which is a campsite.
